Experience

• Developing and maintaining the web-based software used to gather data, present, and analyze Cannabis PowerScores. As of early 2023, 240 completed scores are being analyzed to identify best practices for resource efficiency.
• Providing user support for growers before, during, and after calculating their PowerScore. Frequently integrating user and stakeholder feedback into over 180 survey questions, the calculations, and expert analysis.

• Developing a police department directory at depts.sivilco.com, built on WordPress with back-end research management tools, and basic user activity reporting.

• Developing and maintaining OpenPolice.org to support victims of police misconduct. With up to 300 survey questions, this highly transparent DNA of a police incident will inform communities and police oversight professionals.
• Developing tools to manage complaints and volunteers who crowd-source research on police departments' policies. As of late-2021, the software has collected over 6,000 police complaints, processing and publishing over 500 so far.

• Full application development, testing, and all upkeep of the popular Facebook app. Most years, about one out of three Burning Man participants use the app – 20K-25K per summer. Over a dozen years, more than 119,000 unique Facebook users used the app.

• Built and directed web-based software for youth activism management. "Helix" was used by non-profit organizations and local government funded social health campaigns to manage thousands of active young citizens across the country.
• Managed a small team of programmers for ongoing development of Helix and other long-term deliverables.

• Implemented my own web site content management system (CMS, like WordPress) which ran SSDP.org for three years. Software development began in 2002 using PHP and MySQL to dynamically generate HTML, JS, CSS web sites.

• Ran wires and maintained computer networks for small organizations and municipalities ranging from six to 70 employees, as well as provided general IT support for Windows machines and most popular software packages.
• Coded in Cold Fusion for an online content management application (CMS), and gained extensive experience with desktop computer hardware assembly.
